Stressed out about applying for a mortgage? You don't have to be. I have close relationships with various lending companies in Owasso, and they've helped me recognize a few things that will make the process of applying for a loan very easy.

1 – Make a list of questions about your loan program

Be sure you have a list of questions with you if you don't completely understand the pros and cons of the different loan programs. I or one of my lender contacts can assist you in understanding the advantages and disadvantages of both programs, because it's hard to know the distinctions between both fixed and adjustable rate mortgages.

2 – Decide when you want to lock

By locking in the interest rate, your mortgage lender is holding to the interest rates for the loan – commonly at the time the loan application is received. By floating the rate, you can lock the rate anytime between the loan application day and at the time of closing. Those who opt to float think that the interest rates will fall in the near future. 3 – Determine if you want to pay additional points to decrease your rate
